For a small restaurant in barrydale our menu is surprisingly extensive with international appeal and a definite South African flavour .With the exception of our slow cooked Karoo Lamb and Venison dishes all other meals are freshly prepared on order to ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable culinary experience.
Apart from our standard printed menu we also have regular daily specials which could  range from  Venison Potjie ,Karoo Lamb Stew,Oxtail  and deep fried Hake to traditional Cape Brandy Tart.
We pride ourselves in delivering a high quality meal at prices that others struggle to match in an environment that is friendly and comfortable. Although we are not licensed to sell liquor we encourage guests to bring their own preferred beverage  for which NO CORKAGE WILL BE CHARGED . We will however provide glasses , ice and soft drinks .
Our restaurant also boasts a wood fired Pizza oven where we prepare traditional Italian style pizzas and pita breads together with an espresso machine from which we deliver the full range of LAVAZZA coffees.

Guests at A PLACE IN TIME Barrydale are encouraged to interact with each other and it is surprising how often old friends meet up unexpectedly at our little magical gem in the klein karoo .
